Super Six

The Super Six house events involve students from all year groups working together to compete against the other houses. These events are classes as tier 1 events and carry the highest number of house points on offer from one single event with the winners gaining 120 points. More information on each Super Six event can be found below. Speak to your Head of House about how you can get involved in the Super Six events this year!

House Art

House Art usually takes place after school in the main hall with each house getting a design stimulus and a given artist to inspire their artwork. This is a judged event and the judges base their decision on a) the quality of the artwork, b) how relevant the piece is in relation to the stimulus, c) the speech given to explain the artwork.

House Drama

Houses are given a subject to devise a short play around. This is often centred around the school's main focus for the year. In recent years, some of the themes have been Pantomime, equity, our planet and mental health. This year's theme of leadership will likely form a large part of what Houses are expected to base their play around.

House Music

Each house is required to compete across four different categories in front of a live audience and a panel of expert judges. These categories are: Solo Vocal, Solo Instrumental, Band and KS3 Choir. Houses spend weeks and weeks rehearsing for their performances, and it is always a fantastic showcase of talent, passion and creativity. Bands often go all out with the theming and get dressed up to maximise their wow factor!

House Public Speaking

Students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 jump in at the deep end (literally) and swim a variety of different strokes in races against other houses. From front crawl to raft races the event is always incredibly exciting. Usually hosted at Cheam Leisure Centre, the pool is divided up into 6 lanes surrounded by house mates screaming encouragement to those in the water. Traditionally, the winning Head of House is pushed into the pool straight after lifting the trophy!
